Overview

Lucayan Technology LLC is hiring a Senior Data Scientist (Level 3) in Chantilly, VA. This position leads advanced data science initiatives, guiding teams to deliver innovative AI/ML solutions and actionable insights that directly support national security missions.
What You'll Do

• Lead teams applying data science techniques to cybersecurity challenges.
• Oversee development of predictive models, ML algorithms, and advanced analytics
• Deliver reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leaders and warfighters.
• Spearhead data engineering and management efforts.
• Mentor junior staff and define requirements for advanced analytic approaches.
• Stay current on AI/ML and LLM advances to strengthen mission outcomes.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in analytics, AI/ML, or advanced data science.
• Expert knowledge of data visualizations, large language models (LLMs), and ML techniques.

Preferred:

• Cybersecurity and mission operations background.
• Leadership or technical project management experience.
• Agile methodology knowledge (Scrum, Jira, Confluence).
