Job Description

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Floor Patrol in Columbus, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the facility, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to everyone on site. You will be an important point of contact, using strong communication skills to address inquiries and support the needs of employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with resolution as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor the premises for any unusual activity or conditions, reporting findings according to established protocols.
• Work collaboratively with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Assist in controlling access to restricted areas and observe entry and exit points as part of routine patrols.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
