Modern Technology Solutions Incorporated (MTSI) is seeking A mid-level R&D Scientist/Engineer specializing in fluid dynamics and space-based EO/IR systems develops and simulates advanced aerospace and defense systems for Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) applications . This role requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance and hands-on experience with EO/IR sensor data.
Required
• U.S. Citizen
• BS in aeronautical or mechanical engineering, physics, or computer science
• +4 years of relevant experience in DoD / IC
• Active TS/SCI and willingness to take CI Polygraph
• Experience working with EO/IR sensor data
• Knowledge of space-based EO/IR sensor phenomenology
• Proficient in one or more of the following coding/scripting languages: Python, C/C++, MATLAB
• Proven ability to work/manage simultaneous projects and prioritize effectively in a dynamic R&D environment
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines and departments, but also able to be self-sufficient when necessary

• GEOINT processing research and development experience
• Extensive experience working with DoD EO/IR sensor data
• Experience in modelling/simulating advanced foreign weapon systems signatures
• +6 years relevant experience
• Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly
• MS in aeronautical or mechanical engineering, physics, or computer science
