Modern Technology Solutions Incorporated (MTSI) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our team in developing innovative solutions for the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC). Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design, develop, test, and validate DoD/IC software architectures.
- Lead software development efforts, managing teams, and prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop solutions using one or more programming languages, including Python, C/C++, Java, or JavaScript.
- Build scalable and secure software solutions consistent with DoD/IC operational requirements.
- Provide technical direction and clearly communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary environments while demonstrating self-sufficiency and independence when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to undertake a CI Polygraph.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in design, development, testing, and verification/validation (V&V) of software architecture.
- Expertise in one or more coding/scripting languages: Python, C/C++, Java, or JavaScript.
- Proven ability to manage teams and prioritize tasks effectively in dynamic R&D settings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Strong teamwork capabilities, with adaptability for both collaborative and independent work environments.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with GEOINT processing research and development.
- Extensive knowledge of the DoD/IC software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with DoD EO/IR sensor data and their integration into operational systems.
- Proven experience designing and testing automated algorithm pipelines to optimize software functionality and operational relevance.
- 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
