iQuasar LLC is seeking an experienced Network Engineer – Wireless to support the design, configuration, installation, and administration of enterprise wired and wireless networks. The candidate will be responsible for implementing secure, resilient, and scalable network solutions that comply with DoD standards while supporting mission-critical operations. This role requires strong Cisco expertise, hands-on experience with wireless technologies, and advanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols.

Position Title: Network Engineer – Wireless
Location: Norfolk, VA
Clearance: Top Secret
Position Type: Proposal
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and monitor network systems, hardware, and applications including switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, and routing protocols.
• Implement DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure compliance of all network components.
• Support incident response by evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving network issues, including corrective actions and change management processes.
• Design, configure, and manage complex network environments with advanced routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
• Monitor and review security information and event management (SIEM) tools, providing root cause analysis, corrective actions, and recommendations.
• Implement and manage network security protocols, access policies, and enterprise compliance controls.
• Apply proficiency in advanced routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF), switching technologies, and software-defined networking (SDN) solutions such as SD-Access and SD-WAN.
• Plan, design, and implement both local area networks (LAN) and wide-area networks (WAN) in enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with Department of Defense teams to support project execution, troubleshoot network issues, and resolve events.
• Work with and support network hardware and software, including but not limited to:
◦ Hardware: Cisco Nexus 7000/9000, Cisco Catalyst series switches, Cisco 4551/8500 routers, Cisco 9000 series wireless access points, Aruba AP275/375/515 access points.
◦ Software: Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC), Cisco ISE, Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA), SolarWinds, Splunk, Aruba Wireless LAN Controller.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience:
◦ Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise wired and wireless networks, including design, configuration, installation, and administration.
• Certifications & Clearance:
◦ Active Top Secret clearance or above.
◦ CompTIA Security+ CE (required, active) or higher.
◦ Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) with Enterprise Core or Wireless specialty (required)
