REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer to work from their Quincy, MA facility. As a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Autonomous Maritime Platforms Business, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the design and development of advanced autonomous subsea systems and vehicles. We are looking for a dynamic individual to support our mission of delivering cutting edge solutions to our valued customers.

- Mechanical Engineering Design
- Proficiency with SolidWorks MCAD and PTC Windchill PDM Software
- Engineering background in the Undersea Domain
- Knowledge of autonomous/unmanned undersea vehicle (AUV/UUVs) technologies, principles, theories, and concepts
- Hands-on experience assembling prototype systems
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Creative thinker ready to design and develop innovative solutions from conception to production
