Electronics Installation Technicians
Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring experienced Electronics Installation Technicians to support a leading government consulting firm. These roles are part of the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) division, focused on deploying and maintaining advanced electronic security infrastructure across federal and military sites. This is a full-time onsite position located in the Ft. Belvoir area.
Responsibilities of the Electronics Installation Technician Include:
• Install, configure, and service electronic security systems including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, CCTV, and command & control platforms
• Conduct site assessments, perform cable terminations, mount hardware, and ensure compliance with NEC grounding standards
• Execute system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning to ensure full operational readiness
• Maintain accurate documentation, monitor project progress, and participate in safety and quality assurance meetings
• Support or lead PITCO testing, manage tool inventory, and assist with material staging
• Collaborate with design teams and other trades to ensure constructability and regulatory compliance
• Mentor junior technicians and uphold safety, quality, and continuous improvement standards
Qualifications of the Electronics Installation Technician Include:
• Minimum 6 years of experience in electronics installation or maintenance across diverse systems and customer programs
• Proficiency with IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems such as CCURE, Lenel, Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics/BVMS, AIphone, DIVAR
• Familiarity with networking hardware, switch/server setup, and fiber/copper troubleshooting
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills
• High school diploma or GED required; preferred qualifications include military electronics training (720+ classroom hours), electronics technician certification, or electrical apprenticeship
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Hold and maintain an Active TS/SCI clearance required (TS/SCI w/ Poly will receive top-priority consideration for this role)
Compensation of the Electronics Installation Technician Includes:
• Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000/year (up to $130K for highly qualified candidates)
• Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Time Off, Sick Leave (as required by law), and Holidays
