Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Network Services Specialist supporting the C3I & Networks Division (AFLCMC/HNI), which is part of EPASS Cyber and Networks Directorate (EPASS HN II) contract, and located at Hanscom AFB, MA.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
- Bachelors Degree in a related field
- Years of Experience: Ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD.
- Experienced engineer that has worked on the network side and systems engineering side.
- Plus has knowledge of DoD AF policies--- TRDs, I-plans, TCTOs, 1067s, and has some rudimentary knowledge of CyberSecurity
- Ability to work independently and apply the proper procedures and processes related to their area of expertise
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze and recommend network requirements
- Recommend and maintain network architecture and infrastructure
- Analyze network workload
- Monitor network capacity and performance
- Diagnose and resolve network problems
- Recommend network backup and recovery procedures
- Install, test, maintain , and upgrade network operating systems software
- Ensure the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services
