Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Mission Integration Engineer to support satellite ground system
integration for commercial and government space missions. This is a full-time hybrid position with 2
days onsite and 3 days remote. This role is part of the Mission Architecture team and is ideal for
candidates with a strong background in space systems engineering, satellite operations, and cloud-based
infrastructure. The position is based in Arvada, CO (preferred), with flexibility for candidates located in Los
Angeles, CA or Washington, DC. This role is An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead technical integration of spacecraft, ground stations, and cloud infrastructure
• Assess mission requirements and ensure seamless deployment
• Serve as the technical point-of-contact during customer onboarding
• Coordinate technical reviews and readiness milestones
• Develop and maintain interface control documents (ICDs)
• Verify requirements and support cross-functional collaboration
• Conduct mission simulations, training, and early orbit support
• Create mission support plans and resolve anomalies
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer
Science, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in space systems engineering or mission integration
• Hands-on experience with spacecraft ground systems and satellite operations
• Proficiency in cloud-based ground systems, scripting (Python, Bash), containerization
(Docker/Kubernetes), and AWS GovCloud
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Strong communication, multitasking, and customer engagement skills
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $120,000 – $180,000 (based on experience)
