Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The mission of Kuiper Government Solutions (KGS) is to leverage Amazon's Kuiper satellite communications infrastructure to provide low-latency, high-speed, secure satellite broadband services to United States and allied government customers.

We have an immediate opening for a Sr. Business Development Planner and Analyst, to support the KGS team focusing on U.S. Government customers in Defense, National Security, Federal Civil, and/or state and local jurisdictions. As a Sr. Business Development Planner and Analyst, you will assist Kuiper Government to achieve its revenue goals, working with technical, business and operations staff. This will include (1) working with the business development team to ensure database integrity, generating sales data reports, compiling performance metrics, and establishing trends to provide actionable insights; (2) developing and maintaining sales dashboards and reports that track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support data-driven decision-making, business planning, financial planning; and (3) implementing operational and process improvements. The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical business units. Successful members of this team collaborate effectively to solve data and operational problems, implement new reporting solutions, take proactive steps, seize on opportunities, and deliver successfully against high operational standards.

The best candidates will have sales execution experience, strong financial acumen, and a deep operational and analytical background. Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce CRM and Einstein Analytics is preferred. Candidates will be able to support execution of a strategic sales operation strategy and ensure required investments are provided to the business plan.

Key job responsibilities
• Implement status, reporting and management processes across the Business Development, Operations, Strategy, Marketing, and Events continuum
- Orchestrates, analyzes, and reports status of KGS' US government pipeline
- Designs work products supporting seamless management of pipeline health, KPIs and trends. Implement associated processes to accelerate corporate coordination/approvals across Amazon's functional organizations
- Develops methodology, work products and dashboards to help KGS leadership ensure the domestic pipeline's ability to deliver LRP targets
- Assesses and reports on pipeline health, tracks associated KPIs, trends, and variance analyses to assure domestic pipeline's ability to deliver LRP targets
- Aligns Finance and BD on pipeline expectations and data sets
- Manages pipeline data currency in collaboration with business development managers
- Manages weekly pipeline reviews
- Facilitates pipeline dashboards and products with Salesforce.com lead
• Manage process transitions through Pursue/No-Pursue, Bid/No-Bid, and Propose phases
- Facilitates and accelerates Business, Finance, Legal, Accounting and Tax (BFLAT) coordination/approvals.
- Coordinates with proposal manager & capture manager to accelerate deal velocity.
- Builds products for effective management of business development cadence and executive communication.
- Leads orchestration of planning product updates and team logistics.
• Develop Voice of the Customer insights and Sales Enablement tools to effectively communicate the value proposition of Kuiper services and the timeline by which the services will be available to customers.
- Develops processes to consolidate and communicate Voice of the Customer information captured by the BD team into Salesforce.
- Coordinates across BD and product/service teams to show customers the roadmap of KGS services being launched
• Provide excellent written and verbal communications

This position is in Arlington, VA. Some travel, primarily domestic, will be required.

Security Clearance: This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business or related field
- 4+ years in sales operations, business operations, and/or finance
- 4+ years of experience with Salesforce (or similar tool)
- Strong analytic skills in assessing business data

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience
- Expertise in maintaining and organizing a sales pipeline to facilitate generating new business and expanding partnerships with existing customers
- Experience with Confluence and JIRA
- Experienced in government SATCOM needs
- Enthusiasm to create and implement effective business operations processes
