Job Description

As a Security Officer - Tech Dispatch Patrol in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring activities and coordinating timely responses to security-related incidents. Your responsibilities will include managing communications between security teams, tracking incidents, and providing crucial information to help to deter potential issues. You will interact with both staff and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecom location.
• Monitor and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Dispatch information and instructions to security-related personnel and/or first responders as situations arise.
• Maintain communication logs and document all incidents, calls, and activities accurately and promptly.
• Assist with emergency response activities by following established protocols and supporting on-site teams.
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular checks of communication systems and equipment to maintain operational readiness.
• Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal team members to address client needs and support overall site operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
