Job Description

As a Security Professional - Access Control Patrol in Accomac, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more .

As a Security Professional with Allied Universal at a major food and beverage production location, you will play a key role in access control operations. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to deter unauthorized access to the facility. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and serve as a point of contact for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor for unusual activity or conditions that could impact operations, and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and access control activities in daily reports according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by site policies and Allied Universal procedures.
• Collaborate with site personnel to uphold access control standards and security-related protocols specific to the food and beverage industry.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience working at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
