Overview
Intelligent Waves is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets the clients needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. In this role, you'll develop container management software, processes, and strategies to help "harness the cloud" and support our client's move to the cloud.
As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you'll be called upon to use your experience and knowledge to improve the client's environment with current container software to ensure seamless integration. Applying your DevOps platform experience, you'll collaborate in a team environment to develop strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process. In short, you'll help the client manage and adopt critical cloud platforms within a DevOps environment.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain the underlying platform ennvironment
- Utilize and manage a variety of tools for containierization
- Develop and implement automation scripts and tools
- Deploy applications to cloud platforms
- Execute within a Git-based workflow process
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies
- 3+ years of experience with automation tools, including Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Puppet
- 3+ years of experience with automating system configurations and orchestrating network operations and DevOps pipelines, scaling, releases, and day-to-day system operations in Cloud environments
- 3+ years of experience with managing Git-based version control systems, including GitLab and GitHub
- 2+ years of experience with architecting and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing, such as continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience with provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in Cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
- Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
- Experience with leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
- Agile certification
- DevOps certification
- Cloud certification
