Responsibilities

Be part of a fast-paced, high energy, team supporting Strategic Systems Programs Re-Entry Branch on the SLCM-N program as the Classification Management Specialist. This unique and challenging role requires a strong understanding of both DOE nuclear weapon systems and DoD delivery platforms. The successful candidate will serve as the technical expert tasked with reviewing all deliverables produced by SP28 and Arcfield Lead Engineers for classification accuracy. The candidate should be intimately familiar with nuclear weapon programs and have an in-depth understanding. This position will require the candidate to represent the Re-Entry Branch at various meetings and have a comprehensive understanding of how to lead and manage a project from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for classification determinations for all material produced by the different POG working groups.
  • Maintain records and classification databases in alignment with contract requirements and Arcfield policies.
  • Be the lead for all data transfers as required between classified systems in support of customer needs to include being able to courier material back and forth from SSP.
  • Certified in classification manuals specific to the DOE and their application to a nuclear weapon program.
  • Interface directly with government customers (DOE and DoD) and external partners, presenting findings and building strong collaborative relationships.
  • Formulate Plan of Action and Milestones for projects and is able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure milestone accomplishments.
  • Support an assigned SP28 government lead on the SLCM-N program as their deputy.
  • Act as a customer liaison representing the Re-Entry Branch at various meetings.
  • Develop and review documentation and supporting material for technical accuracy.
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across multiple organizations for work performance.
  • Be data and process driven with the ability to identify areas of concern and able to provide recommendations for overall improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's (with 10-12 years' of experience) or Master's degree (with 8-10 years' of experience) or PhD with (5-7 years' of experience). Education can be substituted for military service and subject matter expert knowledge on nuclear programs
  • Must possess and be able to maintain an active TS/SCI clearance
  • The ability to work well within a team and the ability to collaborate on projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to author technical documentation
  • Professional oral and written communication skills
  • A passion for learning, helping others, sharing team knowledge, and contributing value to the mission in any way possible

  • NNSA or SSP Experience
  • Current ceritified in DOE Derivitative Classfication

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
