Position Summary

Potawatomi Defense Operations, LLC (a federal government contractor) seeks qualified full-time Engineer or Scientist with a Secret clearance to support the Rapid Development Integration Facility (RDIF) support contract, onsite at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• The Engineer/Scientist performs a variety of technical support of aircraft, materials, systems, and/or support equipment.
• Must be able to work from and create/produce; blueprints, drawings, layouts, reports, studies and/or other technical specifications.
• Must be able to do computations relating to technical requirements of equipment in areas such as; electrical, mechanical, aeronautical, metallurgical, stress, safety, software, human factors, quality and material.
• Must be familiar with military technical manuals, technical orders, modification work orders and blueprints.
• Performs other duties as assigned
  
  

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Active Secret Clearance.
• BS or BA degree with 1 year of experience.
  
  

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Experience with aircraft modification and aviation is highly desirable.
• Experience in the rapid prototyping of hardware components is highly desirable.
• Experience in the U.S. Air Force special operation community is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with CAD software and the ability to understand technical drawings is desirable.
• Must have advanced skills in basic Microsoft Office applications, plus Adobe Acrobat.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension).
• Capable of passing background investigation and periodic drug testing.
  
  

Additional Qualifying Factors:

• Legally eligible to work in the United States (proof of eligibility will be required upon offer of employment).
• Possess a valid driver's license (any state), ability to operate a motor vehicle, able to provide clean driving record and current vehicle insurance coverage.
• Eligible for access onto military installations following background and security checks.
• Flexibility with work schedule is mandatory because it impacts the ability to support and serve military.
