Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a General/Interdisciplinary Engineer providing support to the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM).

Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) has been tasked with delivering an integrated Department of the Air Force (DAF) Battle Network providing resilient decision advantage and enabling the USAF, USSF, Joint, and Coalition Force to win against the pacing challenge. C3BM supports execution in many different focus areas. C3BM's main efforts are Architecture and Systems Engineering (ASE), Operational Response Team (ORT), and multiple mission integration teams such as Air, Maritime and multiple acquisitions consisting of both the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) and Space.

The General/Interdisciplinary Engineering personnel will apply engineering theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods. This includes extending or modifying existing approaches, resolving unique or novel problems, and significantly altering standard practices, equipment, devices, processes, and techniques. The role requires providing expert advice to professional colleagues and agency officials, recommending innovative solutions to advance programs and methods, and executing significant projects representing major agency operations.

The General/Interdisciplinary Engineer will exercise judgment and ingenuity in evaluating new technologies, strategies, and trends; investigating issues extending beyond a single specialty area; developing new standards, concepts, or theories; and ensuring the integrity, quality, and effectiveness of engineering and scientific programs. Support will also include system design, operation, and sustainment across the acquisition life cycle (requirements analysis through system disposal) and may include Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
