Our Production Operations organization is seeking an intern at our Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA. location.
In this dynamic role you will:
• Assist the manufacturing engineering and production team to accomplish daily, on-site production operations activities
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a technical program from an accredited university, with an emphasis in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Process, or Manufacturing), Engineering Technology, Aerospace Technology, Mathematics, Physics/or equivalent majors are preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills:
- Experience with coding, programming, or modeling software
- Understanding and knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Coursework in structures and thermal analysis, or
- Hands-on experience with aerospace manufacturing processes such and mechanical and electrical assembly,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Part-Time as assigned by leader
