Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Summer 2026 Manufacturing Engineer Intern. In this role, you will provide mechanical engineering support to address hardware concerns and develop procedures and/or tooling to improve hardware assembly. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, and procedure writing.
This position is in the engineering group at the Missile Integrated Support Facility (MISF) in Kings Bay, GA. MISF is the primary assembly and test location for many of the flight electronics packages used on the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program.
Basic Qualifications:
Actively enrolled in Electrical Engineering or other related degree program from accredited college/university.

This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity of electrical or electro-mechanical assembly drawings.
Exposure to computer operating systems such as Windows, Unix and Linux.
Ability to read, understand and interpret electrical and electro-mechanical
assembly drawings.
Experience and understanding of software languages such as Altas, C and
C++.
Strong organization skills, good communication skills.
Team player with the capability to work in a multi-functional environment.
Fluency in MS Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Power
Point).
Experience with circuit design and familiar with using LabVIEW.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
