Overview:
Business Manager works in tandem with all Managers and staff to support the completion of project reports and strategic goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the employers Contract Team to design budgets and financial projections.
- Collaborate with management team to monitor the Fort Irwin contract to select the most cost-effective method to fulfill the objectives of the contract and subcontracts.
- Collect, prepare and transmit receipts to the accounts payable and receivable departments for processing payments to vendors and invoicing the USACE.
- Assist in identifying project risk and mitigation strategies to resolve issues or requests from USACE OESS.
- Establish and manage a petty cash account and reconcile monthly or on an as needed basis.
- Establish program to monitor purchased items for use on site for the Fort Irwin Project to fulfill the mission of the project.
- Pick up mail at Post Office and Maintain.
- Issue Company Property, Vehicle keys, assets and inventory. Registrations for Vehicles, Office Trailers and Title Transfers. Help IT department with Staff computer issues and set up.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field required.
- Background in Project Management or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in business/data management, accounting, finance, or project management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be articulate, creative, a problem solver, a decision maker, and a change agent.
- Must have excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite including, Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
- Demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team.
- Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.
- Ability to multi-task efficiently, works in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and has a strong attention for detail.

- Position requires U.S. Citizenship, a US Government background check and may require a US Government SECRET Clearance.
If SECRET Clearance Level is required, candidate must also:
- Have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Investigation
- Be able to maintain a US Government SECRET clearance
