As the Business Intelligence Engineer, the individual will translate business needs into technical specifications, create visualizations and reports. In this role, the Business Intelligence Engineer will coordinate with leadership, department heads and IT support personnel to streamline processes and increase productivity among employees.

Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, and maintains business intelligence solutions, including data analytics platforms and reporting tools
- Proficiency in database management systems and BI technologies
- Develops, implements processes and procedures, ensuring quality control through quality assessments, as well as assessing organizational business solutions and operations, while establishing a culture of continuous improvement
- Develops and analyzes reports, research, establishes processes and reviews operating procedures
- Strategizes ideas to improve business operations and meeting with leadership and other stakeholders to provide suggestions based on their analysis
- Designs, develops, and maintains business intelligence solutions
- Crafts and executes queries upon request for data
- Presents information through reports and visualization
- Develops standard operating procedures and quality assessment and control processes
- Gathers and analyzes data for potential business and operational process development
- Identifies specific opportunities to improve processes and procedures
- Influences stakeholders to support operational projects
- Assists with project management for selected projects
- Coordinates with cross-departmental and division teams to produce better project outcomes
- Tests business and operational processes and recommend improvements
- Converts roadmap features into smaller user stories that are easier to complete
- Develops reports of actionable information for organizational decision-makers
- Writes clear and well-structured project and process requirements/documents
- Creates reports, dashboards, and visualizations to understand operational performance
- Analyzes process issues and bottlenecks to make improvements
- Communicates and validates requirements with relevant stakeholders
- Develops and maintains reporting tools
- Performs data discovery, analysis, and modeling
- Collaborates with leadership and project managers on roadmap planning and prioritization
- Performs all other tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications/Education and Experience:
- BA/BS (degree in Computer Science/Management preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of related skills and experience are required
- Must have and maintain Secret Clearance with eligibility for Top-secret
- Valid SEC+ Certification
- Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Five or more years of Business Analyst experience
- Knowledge of all the computer-based tools for project management
- Must have knowledge of how to Analyze new and complex business-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project
Preferred Qualifications/Education and Experience.
- Project management experience is preferred
