Koniag IT Systems (KITS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced IT System Administrator II with a Top Secret Clearance to support AMC CIO/G6 at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. This is a critical onsite role providing enterprise IT support across on-premises and cloud environments in both classified and unclassified domains.

The System Administrator will provide comprehensive system administration and application support across the AMC enterprise, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing IT services.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • System Lifecycle Management: Configure, implement, deploy, sustain, and decommission systems in accordance with ITIL and CMMI processes.
  • Administration & Support: Install, configure, maintain, and secure servers, applications, desktops, networks, and cloud environments.
  • SharePoint & Enterprise Tools: Support SharePoint and associated third-party tools in both classified and unclassified environments.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Conduct proactive monitoring and deliver reports on reliability, availability, maintainability, capacity, and performance; recommend improvements for optimization and interoperability.
  • Security & Compliance: Apply IAVA patches, STIGs, and DoD security standards; support system accreditation efforts; maintain SOPs and configuration management baselines.
  • Disaster Recovery / Continuity of Operations: Develop and test storage, archiving, backup, and recovery procedures to ensure mission continuity.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with stakeholders including project managers, NEC-R, DISA, and vendors to troubleshoot, resolve issues, customize approved software, and support upgrades.
  • Documentation: Upload deliverables, reports, and administrative artifacts to the AMC Enterprise Portal (AEP) in the required formats.
  • User Management: Administer user accounts, access permissions, and database privileges in line with AMC policies.


Required Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
  • Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, and related directory services.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle; Google Cloud a plus).
  • Experience with SharePoint administration and supporting third-party tools.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and security principles.
  • Hands-on experience applying DoD security compliance (IAVA patches, STIGs, accreditation packages).
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+ (required); Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent (preferred); OS/virtualization certifications desirable.
