As a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist at the GS-0346-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
  • Presents analysis and proposals to all levels of management within the organization and external agencies, advising on new policies and processes, explaining alternative options, and recommending solutions to complex issues.
  • Assists in developing and managing Inter-Service Support Agreements (ISSA), Second Destination Transportation (SDT) requirements, tracking transportation requirements, and initiates/performs logistical management controls within DMA Command Inspection Program (CIP).
  • Administers an effective personnel program. Makes or recommends personnel selections, hears employee grievances and complaints, counsels employees and initiates disciplinary actions, recommends training for employees, and ensures training is provided.
  • This position directs subordinate civilian personnel with workloads comparable to GS-13, who provide logistic services world-wide.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-14 , if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Managing and overseeing agency programs and inventory accounts.
  • Developing standard criteria, methods, processes and procedures for use throughout the organization.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and developing proposed multi-year budget planning and annual operating budgets for current and future operations in support of logistics programs.
  • Evaluating and resolving complex problems as they relate to design and management of programs.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, and (CFR Part 2634, Subpart I. Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 29 November 2007.

This position is Emergency-Essential (E-E). In event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the E-E duties until relieved by proper authority.

The incumbent or the designated alternate may be required to take part in readiness exercises. The position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively; therefore, the position is designated "key" which requires the incumbent, or designated alternate, to be screened from military recall status. The incumbent must complete annual health screening and be cleared for world-wide deployment based upon the agency requirements.
