The Engineering Technical Leader coordinates the technical aspects of all the development, architectural, operational, security, and testing activities for a team. They are responsible for bridging the product's broader goals with the technical implementation. The Engineering Technical Leader also defines, implements, and inspires adherence to the technical direction, processes, and standards for the team.

The team will work closely with stakeholders to ensure secure, flexible, and user-friendly solutions using agile delivery practices, with a strong emphasis on architecture, DevOps, testing, and compliance.

Your Responsibilities in This Role:
- Mentor Engineers in software development, infrastructure, data, and testing skills.
- Review work and code for effectiveness and alignment to technical standards.
- Set the team's technical direction and strategy.
- Design technology solutions aligned with business needs.
- Lead decision-making on technology, infrastructure, security, and operations.
- Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to plan and build new features.
- Orchestrate all phases of the development lifecycle, from task creation to production deployment.
- Define and inspire adherence to code and process standards.
- Navigate regulatory landscapes and address key risks and controls.
- Support Agile processes and help customers understand Agile practices.

- Must possess or have the ability to obtain Public Trust
- Bachelor's Degree Required.
- Must have 10 years of experience
- Deep expertise in at least one engineering domain (software, site reliability, data, testing) with foundational knowledge in others.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, system architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go, Java, Ruby, Bash).
- Proficient in containerized development environments and DevOps practices.
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams through the full software development lifecycle.
- Ability to mentor, inspire, and build team cohesion.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to align diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic reasoning and relationship-building to influence outcomes.
- Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Senior-level experience leading engineering teams, with proven success in designing and delivering large-scale, secure, and maintainable systems. Experience collaborating with stakeholders across disciplines and industries.
- AWS or other cloud platform certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect).
- Information security certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+).
- Certified Scrum Master or equivalent Agile certification.
- Experience with design-thinking and human-centered design approaches.
- Experience working with government or large industry clients.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or during meetings.
- Must be able to travel occasionally to client sites or company meetings.
- Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person, requiring clear speech, listening, and written communication skills.
- Ability to move within an office environment, including reaching for files, using office equipment, and occasional light lifting (up to 10 pounds).
