We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Senior Infrastructure Design Engineer to work in Dahlgren VA.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expertise, technical, and support to plan, design, engineer, install, manage, improve, perform configuration management (CfM), document, maintain, monitor, provide network administration, and operate IT assets, IT capabilities, and IT services including but not limited to infrastructure and platform management, Service CfM, IT asset management (ITAM), deployment management, design services, capacity and performance management, documentation, maintenance, and monitoring of network capabilities and associated elements for all unclassified networks, classified networks, and networks in Production, Test, and Development Environments (e.g., uRDT&E, cRDT&E, SDREN, JWICS, TS collateral and SCI stand-alone networks, DREN, SDREN, NREN, JWICS, and commercial Internet connections). Ensure infrastructure, capabilities, and services are running efficiently, with required security, and in compliance with all legal, regulatory, and policy requirements, and satisfies service-level requirements.

Provide systems engineering, analysis, and design support for development and implementation of systems, capabilities, and IT services. Provide computing plant engineering support services to include requirements identification, change control, acquisition & logistics and operations and maintenance in support of developing and sustaining computing capabilities. Depending on the stage of implementation, identify and report functional and non-functional requirements, recommend, design, develop, operate, manage, and maintain current, replacement, and new technologies and capabilities required to meet evolving IT operations and IT support needs and requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's level degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI), Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification. This certificate must be obtained no later than ninety (90) days after Task Order award. Must provide a written plan for attaining the required certification no later than ninety (90) days after Task Order award for personnel that do not current meet this certification.
  • Six (6) years of professional work and leadership experience in relation to network areas such as landlines, cellphones, voice, video and data networks; and wireless communications. Experience in Visio and AutoCAD as well as more complex network engineering tasks.
  • Experience in systems studies including planning, design, development, and modifications of existing of planned voice and data communications network systems and subsystems.

Physical and Mental Qualifications:
  • Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.
  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard)
  • Able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language
  • Execute tasks independently and work as a team.
  • Learns and memories routine tasks.
  • Strong organizational, grammar, business correspondence, and self-management skills
