The Database Administrator (Senior) is responsible for developing strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition, and archive recovery; and cleaning and maintaining the database by removing and deleting old data. They may evaluate new data sources for adherence to the organization's quality standards and ease of integration, and must be familiar with database standard concepts, practices, and procedures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Model logical and physical data for database management systems
- Improve database performance through indexing and denormalization
- Develop data warehouses and marts for specialized data needs
- Enforce data naming standards and manage database logs
- Perform database backup, archive and restoration services.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):
- Active DoD Secret clearance required!
- Certifications: Desired certifications in Security+ or similar certification.
- Education: Minimum BS/BA degree (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in related field.
- Systems Tools Familiarity:
- Jira, ServiceNow, SharePoint, CloudFlare, GitHub, Salesforce
- Dataverse: A secure data platform that integrates with all Power Platform tools
- Databases: SQL, Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, and standard database backups
- Additional Experience Desired:
- Familiarity with FISMA, NIST, OMB, and other federal cybersecurity compliance standards.
- Experience working with DOC or similar federal agencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills. This includes drafting SOPs and technical documents.
