Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is urgently seeking licensed On-Call Behavioral Health Specialists to serve in critical PRN roles at DHS processing centers along the Southwest U.S. Border. These high-impact positions are for dedicated professionals ready to provide trauma-informed, compassionate care for vulnerable children in DHS custody. PRN Specialists play a vital role in surge coverage and urgent staffing needs, making a difference when it matters most.

Your Mission

As an On-Call Behavioral Health Specialist, you will step into high-pressure environments to ensure children receive timely, trauma-informed behavioral health care. You will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team committed to child-centered care.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Be a Primary Clinical Resource: Act as the go-to behavioral health point of contact for facility staff.
  • Proactive Well-Being Checks: Conduct rounds to assess the emotional and behavioral well-being of children.
  • Crisis Intervention: Deliver real-time crisis response, trauma-informed de-escalation, and stabilization.
  • Collaborative Support: Guide staff in applying emotional regulation and trauma-informed strategies.
  • Interagency Coordination: Partner with CBP, HHS ORR, NGOs, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
  • Influence Decisions: Support complex decisions impacting children's medical, psychological, and developmental needs.
  • Document and Improve: Maintain accurate behavioral health documentation and contribute recommendations to strengthen child-centered environments.

Schedule & Shift Details

  • Shifts: 12-hour shifts (Day 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM | Night 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM).
  • On-Call Flexibility: Assignments may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Urgent Assignments: PRN staff may be called in with short notice to fill critical gaps or meet surge demands.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Master's or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health field.
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted license (LCSW/LICSW, LMFT, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist).
  • Experience: 2+ years post-licensure (child development, trauma-informed care, clinical evaluations preferred).
  • Language: Spanish/English bilingual strongly preferred (minimum ILR 3/5).?34†source?
  • Core Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and crisis management skills; ability to remain calm in dynamic, high-stakes environments.
  • Compliance: Must meet DHS/CBP Tier 4 background investigation, PREA screening, and suitability requirements before deployment.
