Job Description

As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol - Weekdays in Newberry, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence on campus will help to deter potential security-related incidents, while your approachable demeanor will support exceptional customer service and communication. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond promptly to any security-related concerns or requests for assistance. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, while maintaining a professional presence on campus.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related concerns encountered during patrols.
• Assist in controlling access to buildings and restricted areas, following site-specific procedures.
• Support educational staff and visitors by providing information and guidance as needed.
• Document security-related incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
