As a Security Flex Officer - Hospital Facilities in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a critical role in helping to create a secure environment within a government location. You will be responsible for monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and managing badge access to help to deter unauthorized entry. Your duties will include conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned area, responding to alarms, and providing clear communication and exceptional customer service to all visitors and staff. By maintaining a visible presence and utilizing your experience with security-related systems, you will help to support the overall security-related operations of the site. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by assisting with directions and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site and Allied Universal procedures.
• Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, including evacuations and/or coordination with local authorities.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and promote a secure environment at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Must be over 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
