What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the location by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by assisting with directions and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site and Allied Universal procedures.
- Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, including evacuations and/or coordination with local authorities.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and promote a secure environment at the government location.
What We're Looking For:
- Availability across various days and shifts
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
- Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
