As a Security Officer - Government Site - Part Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will have the important role of monitoring and patrolling assigned government locations, helping to create a secure environment for all who visit or work there. You will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible, ready to respond to security-related concerns and provide clear communication. This position requires a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the security-related needs of the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Maintain detailed records and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and/or the public while upholding the standards of Allied Universal at a government location.
• Assist in controlling access to the property and monitor for any unusual or suspicious activity during patrols.
• Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and site management while adapting to varying working environments and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and provide proof as required by the client.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions in the job state.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
