Human Resource Specialist II
This position requires an active Secret clearance to be considered.
A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.
The Human Resource Specialist II provides intermediate-level HR support across a range of functional areas, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR systems management. This role applies a solid understanding of HR practices and policies to support employees and managers, ensuring compliance with employment laws and organizational standards. The HR Specialist II works under moderate supervision, independently handling routine to moderately complex HR tasks while escalating more complex issues as appropriate.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Human Resource Specialist II: $120,579.00
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Human Resource Specialist II Responsibilities Include:
- Support full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
- Assist employees with HR-related inquiries regarding policies, benefits, payroll, and leave programs.
- Maintain HR records and ensure accuracy of data in HRIS systems.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on standard HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee communications.
- Assist with employee relations matters by documenting concerns, conducting preliminary fact-finding, and escalating to HR leadership as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Participate in HR audits, reporting, and compliance tracking (EEO, ACA, FMLA, etc.).
- Contribute to HR projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Human Resource Specialist II Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3-5 years of professional HR experience.
- Solid knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience supporting HR in a government contracting or highly regulated environment.
