Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Quality Assurance Specialist to support a new project. Our team of technical experts delivers advanced solutions to highly demanding organizations. Our customers are technically proficient and rely on our products daily to support their critical operations.

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Program Management
  • Prepare and maintain an annual QA budget.
  • Develop and maintain an annual process improvement plan.
  • Conduct performance appraisals for QA personnel.
  • Provide support during the proposal development process.
  • Assist in QA support for partner and small business collaborators.
  • Manage vendor relationships (e.g., auditors, consultants) and direct their activities during engagements.
  • Support security leadership in compliance with relevant standards.
  • Conduct pre-audit planning and preparation.
  • Perform internal process, work product, and service audits by evaluating software development and service performance against documentation, project schedules, and quality standards.
  • Handle a variety of technical and administrative QA activities, including scheduling, checklist development, report writing, facilitating root cause analysis, and presentations.
  • Analyze and report findings of non-compliance and provide improvement recommendations.
  • Identify, log, escalate, and track issues, lessons learned, and corrective actions to closure.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement through the review and assessment of lessons learned.
  • Support management and operations staff in developing and maintaining documented plans, procedures, and other process assets.
  • Assist in institutionalizing and implementing risk management best practices across the organization and its programs.
  • Manage the Quality team and perform supervisory tasks as required.

Knowledge Management
  • Capture and analyze data, storing the information according to retention requirements.
  • Analyze and report on various metrics to program and corporate management.
  • Provide scheduled and ad-hoc reports as requested.
  • Ensure QA knowledge management tools are properly maintained.

Change Management
  • Evaluate change proposals to ensure related configuration items are addressed.
  • Work with managers to embed process and practice changes.
  • Support and run meetings related to change advisory.
  • Establish a change model and produce standard templates.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews of changes.

Configuration Management
  • Create and track configuration change proposals.
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure configuration items (CIs) and their modifications are correctly identified and documented.
  • Maintain information about CIs, their relationships, traceability, and status.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing QA processes on multiple contracts.
  • A professional certification in an Agile methodology is required.
  • Experience with quality management frameworks and standards.
  • Self-starter, detail-oriented with strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to drive implementation and influence organizational change.
  • Experience in auditing processes, services, and management systems.
  • Familiarity with technical terms related to system and network engineering.
  • Ability to develop and deliver instructional guides and training on processes and process assets.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple deadlines and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with common document management platforms and office productivity software, including spreadsheet applications at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • Experience with configuration management software.
  • Ability to demonstrate high integrity and appropriate judgment when working with sensitive data.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and continuously improving business processes.
  • Ability to travel to client sites and obtain the necessary security clearance.
  • Demonstrated ability to gain staff buy-in for quality programs and act as an ambassador for continuous process improvement.

  • A professional certification in a quality management framework.
  • A professional certification as an internal auditor.
