Piper Companies is looking for an Engineer 4 to join a leading engineering and technology company located in North Charleston, SC.
Responsibilities of the Engineer 4 include:
· Lead design, installation, and maintenance of Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Video Surveillance systems
· Configure devices and implement client-requested changes
· Perform daily system checks and monitor communication links
· Troubleshoot workstation, server, software, and network issues
· Document service requests and ensure timely resolution
· Provide phone and service desk support to technicians and customers
· Conduct backups and archive system events and transactions
· Travel for site surveys, commissioning, and system turnover
Qualifications for the Engineer 4 include:
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field (or Master's with 3-5 years of experience)
· 5-7 years of experience in a technical discipline; 2-3 years of leadership preferred
· Eligible for Secret or TS/SCI clearance
· Familiarity with Lenel, Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, AMAG, CCURE, Milestone, and Bosch systems
· Willingness to pursue certifications (Security+, CASP, CISSP) within 6-12 months of hire
· Ability to interpret trade drawings and apply industry standards (NEC, NFPA 101, ICD 705, NISPOM)
· Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
· Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
· Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
Compensation for Engineer 4 includes:
· Rate Range: $80,000 - $160,000, based on experience
· Comprehensive Benefit Package: Medical/Dental/Vision, 401K, Sick Leave as Required by Law
