Responsibilities for the NOC Tier 1 Support Specialist include:
- Monitor network, server, and application performance using tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or Zabbix.
- Respond to system alerts and incidents, following established protocols for resolution or escalation.
- Provide first-level troubleshooting for connectivity, hardware, and software issues.
- Document all incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Collaborate with Tier 2/3 teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Maintain awareness of system health, uptime, and performance metrics.
- Support routine maintenance tasks and assist with patching and updates.
- Participate in 24/7 shift coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications for the NOC Tier 1 Support Specialist include:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in a technical support or NOC environment.
- Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance required.
- F amiliarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, LAN/WAN).
- Experience with monitoring and ticketing tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, ServiceNow).
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Compensation for the NOC Tier 1 Support Specialist includes:
- Salary range: approximately $95,000 - $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Sick leave as required by law
