Salesforce Technical Architect

Description
The HigherEchelon Salesforce Practice is seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Architect to lead full lifecycle Salesforce implementations, integrations, custom development, and data migrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Salesforce, expertise in environment management and CI/CD deployment strategies, and a proven track record of delivering scalable, high-quality solutions aligned with agile methodologies.
Job Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and implementation of Salesforce solutions, including custom development, integrations, and data migrations.
• Create solution packages, including solution diagrams, system and technical design documentation, web service and API catalogs, data flow diagrams, and migration strategies.
• Identify gaps or problems, document technical needs, and develop cost-effective solutions that align with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
• Develop plans to demonstrate solution options to clients, presenting them in a clear and understandable way.
• Provide expert-level guidance on the implementation, configuration, integration, and optimization of Salesforce solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
• Lead architecture reviews and advise stakeholders on Salesforce leading practices, capabilities, limitations, and potential third-party tools.
• Perform system evaluations and gap analyses to recommend optimal configurations and data models.
• Support Agile development teams with detailed knowledge of the Salesforce development lifecycle (DevOps, sandbox strategy, CI/CD, etc.).
• Develop code in accordance with established development standards, including unit testing, security testing, and automation testing.
• Oversee the deployment of CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce environment management and release management.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Solutions Architects, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to Salesforce developers, conducting code reviews and troubleshooting deployment-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.
• Provide clear communication and reporting to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Required Skills:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience leading complex Salesforce implementation projects.
• Extensive experience in Salesforce environment management and CI/CD architecture.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools, Git source control, VS Code IDEs, branching/merging strategies, and conflict resolution.
• 3+ years of experience in custom Salesforce development, including Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, and integration with REST/SOAP APIs.
• Strong knowledge of object modeling in Salesforce and database concepts, including SQL.
• Ability to simplify complex technical challenges into clear, actionable narratives for executive audiences.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of six (6) years of general work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of Salesforce development and architecture experience.
• Must be a United States citizen.
