Description

SAIC is seeking a TS/SCI cleared Quality Assurance Lead for a future program. Work will be performed on site in Bremerton, WA.

The Senior Quality Assurance Lead will support the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) Program. This is a unique opportunity for those passionate about advancing the U.S. Navy's critical maintenance and operational capabilities. At the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, you will excel in a dynamic environment, supporting national security needs and contributing to advancements in digital networking technologies, disaster recovery operations, encryption, and comprehensive IT infrastructure (ITIL). Additionally, you'll play a key role in refining engineering solutions, enhancing cloud-based infrastructure services, and developing new tools and processes to further the US Navy's operational effectiveness.

This position is contingent upon award, anticipated announcement in Fall 2025.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain quality evaluation and control systems for processing materials using tools such as Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, laboratory, and production teams to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products and production equipment using statistical analysis tools.
  • Conduct quality assurance tests, perform root cause analysis, and ensure corrective measures meet reliability standards.
  • Design and analyze inspection and testing processes and mechanisms, auditing quality systems to develop acceptance criteria.
  • Oversee the documentation and reporting of quality metrics, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, providing training and guidance on quality assurance best practices to team members.
  • Specialize in areas such as design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, reliability, inventory control, or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of nine (9) years of experience, or additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Extensive experience in developing and maintaining quality evaluation and control systems for processing materials into finished products.
  • Proficiency in collaborating with engineering, laboratory, and production teams to ensure quality standards.
  • Strong skills in devising and implementing methods for inspecting, testing, and evaluating product precision and accuracy, including conducting root cause analysis and statistical evaluations.
  • Expertise in designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes and mechanisms.
  • Experience in auditing quality systems to develop acceptance criteria, ensuring corrective measures meet reliability standards.
  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to provide training and guidance on quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
  • Capability to lead and supervise junior personnel, fostering a culture of quality excellence and compliance.

Required Clearance:
  • US Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI Security clearance

Desired:
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

Location:
  • Must live in the local area, or be willing to relocate at the time of award (Note: No relocation funds are available)

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
