Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Procurement Manager 1 to join its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UTand will support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division.

This position's standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Primary Level Salary Range: $92,600.00 - $139,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Procurement Manager 1 to join its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UTand will support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Sources and purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization.
- Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.
- Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
- Confers with suppliers and analyzes suppliers operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
- Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.
- May prepare bid packages.
- Responsible for staffing and retaining talent, conducting regular performance reviews, employee development, and other human resource activities.
- Partners with Supply Chain leadership and cross functional teams to execute actions and drive results with a high degree of accountability and ownership.
- Develops and enhances processes and metrics to improve effectiveness and consistency within the Procurement area of responsibility.
- Be a subject matter expert on the Northrop Grumman policies and procedures, as well as the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS).
- Leads procurement efforts related to pre-award support: Issuing solicitations and reviewing quotes, Negotiating agreements and terms and conditions , Onboarding suppliers , Procurement support during Product Definition Package and Design Review
Basic Qualifications
- Requires U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.)
- Requires a bachelor's degree with 3 years of related experience; an associate's degree with 5 years; or 7 years of related experience with a HS diploma (or equivalent) may be accepted in lieu of a degree
- Requires 1 year experience leading projects or cross-functional teams
- Requires experience in complying with and enforcing company processes; demonstrated understanding of and experience with the FAR and DFARS
- Requires experience conducting presentations to executive leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience navigating US government contract flow down requirements and enhancing efficiency in procurement processes
- Experience with T&Cs negotiations and involving stakeholders for resolution
- In-depth knowledge of SAP
- Active DoD security clearance
