The Boeing Company is looking for a Systems Software Engineer - C2BMC (Associate, Experienced or Senior) to join our Missile Defense Team in Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL.

This position will focus on supporting the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). The Boeing Missile Defense Programs support the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) mission to develop and deploy a layered Missile Defense System to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends from missile attacks in all phases of flight. Summary Pay Range for Associate level: $86,700 - $117,300
Summary Pay Range for Experienced level: $107,100 - $144,900
Summary Pay Range for Senior level: $127,500 - $172,500

Position Responsibilities:
- Work with other industry partners as a key contributor to the design, development, and testing of Java-based mathematical algorithms into the C2BMC operational software applications.
- Support full software development lifecycle including generating design artifacts, implementing software changes, supporting design and code reviews, software testing, and resolution of issues found during testing
- Actively participate in agile planning and execution using established processes
- Software Requirements and architecture development in support of MDS systems
- Develop, select, tailor and deploy integration and test processes, tools and metrics
- Execute and document integration and test activities and events
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- 1+ years of experience in Unified Modeling Language (UML) or other software architecture and design modeling techniques
- 1+ years of experience with Agile software development lifecycle
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of experience using Git in a Linux environment
- 2+ years of experience with Java
- 1+ years of experience with weapon system use-cases
- Ability to implement MATLAB based algorithms into Java-based software.
- Strong Java (J2EE/Java Spring) development experience
- Use of Eclipse, Maven, Gradle, and/or microservices in software development
- Experience software performance optimization
- Experience using automated unit testing frameworks
- Security+ or equivalent certification within 60 days of starting
- Missile defense domain experience, but not required
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root causes, recommend and develop a solution
