Description:What We're Doing:
The Rotary Mission Systems (RMS) Command, Control, Communications, Computers Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) portfolio of programs within the Valley Forge site has experienced increase demand for Systems Engineers throughout its portfolio. C4ISR customers are looking to the RMS Valley Forge team to provide effective solutions to their military users.
In this role, the candidate will support tactical datalinks communications between platforms to include satellites and aircraft (e.g. U-2 Dragonlady).
The Work:
The candidate will be assigned tasks to include system design, MIL-STD analysis (e.g MIL-STD-6016 (Link 16), MIL-STD-6017 (Variable Message Format)), requirement generation and maturation, interface definition, MBSE modeling, verification/validation plans, and test/integration efforts. Experience with Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) and Open Mission System (OMS) standards are a plus. The candidate will be working on an agile development team. The candidate will require strong technical writing skills and an understanding of systems engineering principles. The candidate must be able to work within a team environment. Work location will be in King of Prussia, PA.
As a level 2 Systems Engineer, the candidate will be expected to learn the customer mission & technical concepts on the job while working alongside your Valley Forge based teammates. You will be working under close supervision to start with the expectation that you'll be working mostly independently within ~6 months. You will be expected to coordinate with internal or external product stakeholders under the supervision of current teammates with the goal of independently coordinating outside of your team.
Occasional travel may be required on a ~quarterly basis or less.

At the RMS Valley Forge site, we have a portfolio of programs supporting the C4ISR Market Segment. The Datalinks' portfolio of programs provides Systems Engineering and Software solutions to enable military platforms to communicate critical mission data over Link 16 across many platforms in the Joint All Domain environment.
Who You Are:
Since you have started your career, you have been in roles as a Systems Engineer or performing Integration and Test. A level 2 employee is typically early career and has 2+ years of professional experience. Your experience in these roles has exposed you to best practices for delivery programs of record to military users. The results of your efforts have led to improvement in warfighter capability. You are most interested in expanding your Systems Engineering acumen by getting more hands on experience in either developing Systems Engineering artifacts or performing Integration and Test on a system. You have some knowledge of military systems and missions based on your prior experience but want to learn different domains to expand your knowledge.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience maturing system requirements, performing systems integration or systems verification
• Career interest in working all aspects of the Systems Engineering "V"
• Exposure to fundamental Systems Engineering principles
• Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Data Link Gateway J-Series, message processing experience (receipt, transmission, translation, storage)
• Experience creating or updating Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) artifacts (e.g., Cameo/Rhapsody).
• Experience developing System Use Cases, creating hardware/software test plans, and writing test procedures
• Link 16 Expertise associated with MIL-STD-6016
• Experience implementing automated testing
• AFSIT certification
• PVI design and testing experience
• Experience working through hardware and software integration challenges
• Agile Expertise
• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
