In this Senior Proposal Manager role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development of complex proposals for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program, focusing on future efforts/contracts and acquisition strategy. As a senior member of the THAAD New Business Team, you will provide strategic leadership, guidance, and oversight to cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful development and submission of proposals that meet customer requirements and align with Lockheed Martin's business objectives. Your expertise will be critical in evolving program needs into fully defined, on-contract projects with the U.S. Government, spanning the entire acquisition life cycle from pre-coordination with Government, developing Program Management Estimates (PMEs), Rough Orders of Magnitude (ROMs) and Proposals, and supporting negotiations with the customer and Subcontractors.
As a Senior Proposal Manager, you will be expected to:
- Develop and execute proposal strategies that drive winning outcomes
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including technical, scheduling, and pricing experts
Collaborate with internal Lockheed Martin Subject Matter Experts to ensure alignment with technical and schedule requirements
- Provide guidance and oversight to junior proposal managers and staff
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform proposal development and strategy

Basic Qualifications:
• Proven experience in leading and managing teams to achieve project goals.
• Strong organization, analytical, presentation, communications, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel if/as needed
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Previous experience with Request for Proposals (RFP) process and evaluation
• Experience in project management, finance, systems engineering, and/or new business efforts
• Proactive
• Able to develop strategic process improvement for the assigned team and look for ways to implement in the organization.
• Ability to manage escalations and appropriately communicate to all stake-holders and executive staff
• Familiarity with business processes (invoicing, billing, funding, etc.) in the context of prime and subcontracts
• Experience with IDIQ contracts
• Familiarity with THAAD weapon system elements, capabilities and CONOPS
• Experience presenting to Senior Leadership

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
