You will be the Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the Precision Fires Manufacturing Engineering team. Our team is responsible for supporting both development and production activities for the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) system.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for leading Production Line Validations, supplier visits, internal manufacturing shop support, Earned Value Management, proposal support, tooling, BOM planning, design reviews for producibility, and other program-related production activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective production.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Supporting hardware and tooling for MFC Mechanical/Electrical hardware and Supply Chain
  • Production Line Validations
  • Engineering Release reviews for new and revised design requirements
  • mBOM planning and Make or Buy coordination/management
  • Collaborating with Program Leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure program objectives are met

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline or STEM related degree

• U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance

• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

• Experience in design for manufacturing or design for cost (DFM or DFC)

• Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

• Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software

• Ability to travel domestic and/or internationally 25-30%
Desired Skills:
• Active Secret clearance

• Process improvement experience

• Proposal experience

• Make/Buy experience

• SAP Experience

• Cost / Schedule / Budget Responsibility

• Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

• Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM) experience

• Ability to effectively present technical information to all stakeholders

• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration and developing enduring business relationships

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
