Description: Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead our development efforts under the PRISM MATOC Task Order for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (OASD M&RA). This role focuses on designing and implementing innovative software solutions, leading a team to support engineering and operational needs. The engineer will drive agile development and database architecture, enhancing M&RA's mission in personnel policy, readiness, and financial resilience through advanced technical expertise.
This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software solutions to support engineering and operational requirements aligned with OASD M&RA priorities.
- Lead agile development processes, including iterative sprints and prototyping, to deliver high-quality software products.
- Architect and optimize database systems to ensure efficient data management and integration across support areas.
- Conduct testing and validation of software applications, ensuring compliance with performance and security standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions into broader program objectives.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain documentation for software designs, updates, and testing procedures.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance system capabilities and address evolving mission needs.
- Liaise with government stakeholders to align technical deliverables with policy and readiness goals.
- Maintain currency with DoD software development standards, protocols, and security requirements.
Required Experience:
- Proven expertise in software development within DoD or federal environments, with a focus on agile methodologies.
- Strong skills in database architecture and management, ensuring robust data integration and performance.
- Ability to lead technical projects in high-uncertainty settings and work on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficiency in programming languages and tools relevant to DoD systems (e.g., Java, Python, SQL).
- Experience with software testing and validation processes to meet security and performance benchmarks.
- Capacity to provide technical mentorship and oversee team performance under pressure.
- Operational working knowledge of DoD software development life cycles and security protocols.
- Familiarity with DoD personnel policy and readiness support systems.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Active Clearance or the ability to qualify and obtain a Secret clearance.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; Master's degree strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, including 5+ years leading development projects in federal contracts like PRISM.
- Certifications in agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master) or database management a plus.
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing database systems for large-scale government programs.
