What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activities, following site-specific procedures for a technology-focused location.
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by addressing inquiries and guiding them through access protocols.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including following emergency response protocols as outlined for the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the building and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or security-related breaches.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and irregularities to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
- Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain awareness of security-related concerns specific to a technology and telecom environment.
- Operate access control systems, visitor management platforms, and other technology used at the location to support security-related operations.
What We're Looking For:
- Availability across various days and shifts
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- A valid Guard Card or security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
