As a Security Professional - Tech Site - Part Time in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and media location, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and managing badge access to help deter unauthorized entry. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond promptly to any issues as they arise. Exceptional customer service and clear communication are key, as you will often be the first point of contact for those entering the location. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activities, following site-specific procedures for a technology-focused location.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by addressing inquiries and guiding them through access protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including following emergency response protocols as outlined for the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the building and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or security-related breaches.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and irregularities to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
• Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain awareness of security-related concerns specific to a technology and telecom environment.
• Operate access control systems, visitor management platforms, and other technology used at the location to support security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
