Job Summary:
We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a federal customer by designing, automating, and securing cloud-based infrastructure and applications. In this role, you will implement CI/CD pipelines, manage containerized environments, and ensure compliance with security best practices to enable mission-critical operations. The engineer will work both independently and collaboratively to troubleshoot, optimize, and deliver scalable enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proficient in developing and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform to ensure consistent and scalable cloud deployments.
  • Experienced in creating and maintaining GitHub Actions and Workflows to automate CI/CD pipelines and improve development efficiency.
  • Strong background in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with the ability to design, deploy, and manage secure and resilient cloud solutions.
  • Skilled in containerization technologies such as Docker and Helm for building, packaging, and orchestrating applications.
  • Possesses a solid working understanding of the Linux operating system, including system administration and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of the Windows operating system, ensuring cross-platform support and integration.
  • Capable of working independently, taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Adept at troubleshooting complex issues with minimal assistance, applying systematic approaches to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Experienced in providing enterprise application hosting support, ensuring applications run securely, efficiently, and at scale.
  • Knowledgeable in application security principles and OWASP guidelines, ensuring that security best practices are integrated throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, cloud engineering, or related IT disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with federal security frameworks, compliance standards, or related cybersecurity practices.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance (Public Trust or higher, depending on contract requirements).
Desired Skills:
  • Experience in modern application development languages (such as Python, Go, or Java) to support automation, integration, and custom tooling.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services for deploying and managing secure enterprise solutions.
  • Background in enterprise application hosting support, including deployment and maintenance of COTS applications either on-premises or within a company's cloud tenant.
  • Hands-on exposure to enterprise development tools such as GitHub Enterprise Server and JFrog Artifactory for source control, package management, and secure software delivery.
  • Working understanding of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system, with the ability to support configuration, administration, and troubleshooting tasks.
