Duties

  • You will serve as principal advisor to the NRE Readiness Program Manager and designated NRE Installation Commanders on all aspects of emergency management (EM).
  • You will execute program implementation by providing technical assistance and functional guidance for all matters pertaining to consequence management prevention, preparedness, response and recovery.
  • You will ensure the development and implementation of Installation emergency management Plans, Equipment, Training, Exercises and Evaluations which promote NRE mission readiness.
  • You will develop and conduct an annual Command EM program readiness assessment which evaluates results, systems and processes.
  • You will represent the command with various other agencies/commands and host nations representatives to ensure an effective integrated approach to emergency management functions which will support mission readiness.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1. Ensures the development of installation level Emergency Management Plans to follow established requirements
2. Provides input to the management for various administration items including quarterly performance and other periodic reports and data calls.
3. Develops installation resourced requirements to support program sustainment to include annual and special budget requests.
4. Develops and conducts annual Command EM program readiness assessment which evaluates results, systems and processes.
5. Aligns program assessment findings and recommendations to support future special budget requests.
