Piper Companies is seeking a Crash Simulation Engineer to support cutting-edge research in crash safety and human injury biomechanics in a fully remote environment. This position requires the ability to obtain/maintain US Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities for the Crash Simulation Engineer:
- Plan, design, coordinate, and manage simulation projects to meet client objectives and timelines.
- Lead technical efforts and stay current with industry best practices and standards.
- Develop sled finite element (FE) models, position crash test dummies and human FE models, and simulate vehicle impacts.
- Perform post-simulation data analysis including injury metrics per FMVSS/NCAP regulations using statistical techniques.
- Provide expert recommendations to clients regarding planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Create technical reports and presentations to communicate complex findings clearly and effectively.
Qualifications for the Crash Simulation Engineer:
- Ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust Clearance in the United States.
- Master's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, or similar field).
- Experience analyzing impact test results from vehicles, components, anthropomorphic dummies, or post-mortem human subjects.
- 2+ years of experience running vehicle crash simulations using LS-DYNA.
- Proven experience in post-crash injury analysis (e.g., HIC, BrIC, Nij).
- Familiarity with FMVSS regulations and NCAP protocols.
- Proficiency in Design of Experiments (DOE), optimization, and statistical analysis.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as LS-OPT, ANSA, META, Oasys Primer, etc.
Compensation for the Crash Simulation Engineer:
- Salary range: approximately $110,000 - $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience
