SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a team-centric, motivated Geospatial Navigation Technical Manager to lead a navigation development team focused on product-driven solutions that improve the customer experience. This individual will drive efficiency and productivity by coordinating across multi-functional teams.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Serve as a champion for the development of new products and processes
- Manage product lifecycle and performance, including cost/quality, maintenance, end-of-life planning, and model line enhancements
- Lead the strategic and operational direction of the product portfolio, including roadmaps and daily execution
- Monitor and recommend improvements in operational efficiencies, quality, service/warranty costs, margins, and forecasting
- Organize and manage cross-functional initiatives to support and maintain existing products
- Assist in the development of promotional strategies, sales programs, and product training
- Support the company's participation in trade shows and other special events
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related scientific discipline
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, depending on domain expertise
- Five (5)+ years of experience as a multi-product technical team lead
- Three (3)+ years of navigation or GIS-related development experience
- Working knowledge of electronic charting navigation and/or GIS domains
- Demonstrated business leadership and team management abilities
- Proven ability to lead teams directly and indirectly through collaboration and influence
- Strong analytical skills to identify industry trends, market opportunities, and product strategies
- Fundamental understanding of operational processes, financial planning, pricing, margins, costs, inventories, and financial statements
- Technical knowledge of electro-mechanical products and ability to communicate their value to diverse audiences
- Proven ability to drive business growth through market insight and execution of strategic plans and initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- Maritime navigation
- S-100 hydrographic specifications
