Position: Information Assurance Specialist/ISSO

Location: U.S. Army Joint Modernization Command, Ft Bliss, TX

Job Description:

Responsible of safeguarding the U.S. Army Joint Modernization Command Support Network (JMCSN), composed of three enclaves, that is used to provide a fully functional Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control Network (CJADC2) supporting large-scale Joint and Multinational experiments. Ensures compliance of participants in large-scale Joint and Multinational experiments. Responsible for conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, developing and implementing security policies, managing security controls, and responding to incidents in collaboration with JMCSN ISSO. Key responsibilities include assessing systems for threats, implementing security tools like firewalls and intrusion detection systems, ensuring compliance with regulations, supporting compliance for experimentation exercises, and providing security awareness training to JMC staff. They also maintain security documentation and collaborate with IT teams to strengthen the overall cybersecurity posture.

Requirements:

• Experience documenting policies and procedures in support of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
• Experience using Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
• Clearly articulate requirements and other information in written system Security Plans.
• Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) outlining security requirements and updates the Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
• Must be organized and able to write/prepare/review system documentation within schedules and timelines. Strong writing skills required to produce coherent documentation.
• Develop and conduct Information Assurance training.
• Configure and maintain ACAS, including Security Center and Nessus Scanner.
• Configure, maintain and document endpoint security solutions.
• Minimum CompTia Security+ CE.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.

Experience, Education, and Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• IAT Level II Certifications required
• At least 3 years IT experience. At least 2 years of IA/Cyber Security Experience.
• IAT Level II certifications required; Security+
• CISSP, CISM, or other high-level training desired.

Travel: 15-20% a year
