Project Scheduler-Secret Clearance

This position requires onsite work at Kirtland Airforce Base in NM and an active Secret Security Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Scheduler to join our team in support of mission-critical defense programs. The ideal candidate will have a current Secret clearance and be eligible to upgrade to a Top Secret clearance. You will play a key role in building, managing, and maintaining complex project schedules using Microsoft Project, ensuring program timelines are met and aligned with strategic goals.

Day in the Life:

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using Microsoft Project.
• Work closely with program managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to capture and reflect project milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Analyze schedule performance and proactively identify potential risks or issues affecting timelines.
• Generate regular reports and schedule updates for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support schedule risk assessments and assist in schedule optimization.
• Ensure schedule compliance with industry best practices and customer requirements.
• Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and program planning reviews.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Secret clearance is required; must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
• Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in a defense or aerospace environment.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Project, including building and maintaining complex project schedules.
• Strong understanding of scheduling principles, critical path analysis, and risk management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Familiarity with other scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Open Plan, or similar).
• Experience supporting U.S. Air Force programs, especially those related to nuclear weapons systems or nuclear-capable platforms.
• Understanding of DoD acquisition lifecycle and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
• Experience working in a classified program environment.
