Key Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and other Linux distributions in classified and unclassified environments.
Support system integration, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.
Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with DoD cybersecurity standards (e.g., STIGs, RMF).
Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and cybersecurity personnel to ensure system reliability and compliance.
Develop and maintain scripts for automation and system monitoring.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide timely resolutions.
Support system documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and configuration management.
Participate in technical meetings and provide input on system architecture and improvements.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in Linux system administration.
Proficiency in Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements (e.g., DISA STIGs, RMF).
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret clearance.
Security+ or other DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
Experience supporting DoD or Navy programs.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Podman) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
