Responsibilities:
Support and participate in the Ace Aeronautics QMS
Responsible for the requirements, documentation, design, integration, and testing of an integrated suite of advanced avionics to function on various aircraft and in a systems integration laboratory environment
Work under the supervision of the Director of Engineering as a systems designer within a team engaged in the integration of advanced avionics and ancillary systems onto rotary and fixed wing platforms
Critical member to the overall system design of the integration effort, to include development of design requirements, direct/guide/perform detailed design as necessary, define current cyber-security requirements, define testing requirements, and play a key role on program IPTs
Utilize appropriate tools necessary for the system design, build, and test work required
Employ Microsoft Office, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and configuration management tools to ensure a successful integration effort
Draft detailed technical reports related to the requirement, design, installation, troubleshooting, testing, and certification of the avionics architecture and all applicable systems and subsystems
Oversee or perform hands-on troubleshooting of avionics components, harnesses, mechanical supports, etc. in a laboratory or hangar environment, when necessary
Prepare briefings to support program reviews and milestone progress
Interface as needed with U.S. and Foreign Government customers, industry partners, professional associations
Requirements:
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
BS in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or a related field
Advanced Systems requirement, design, integration, and testing (conception through fielding)
Technical and systems engineering report writing as related to avionics architecture and systems
Experience applying the concepts of systems engineering
Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD)
Familiarity with System Safety Processes for airborne Systems
Familiarity of cyber-security features and requirements for airborne platforms
